I've just had a notification that there is a firmware update for the 810.
Has anyone run it? Did it break anything?

Carbon Frame Re-Painting
Hi All,
I have recently purchased a rather nice 2nd hand carbon road bike but the paints have seen better days especially around the chainstays where the are a few chips.
Anyone know what the ballpark figure is for a good re-paint job and if anyone can recommend a good mob that will that sort of work around the Sydney area ?
I don't need any fancy paint job a single color will probably do me just fine.
Thanks,
Mario
Flying with a bike
Im flying to Cyprus for 3 weeks in may,and am planning on taking my bike as there are meant to be loads of good trails there.Anyone flown with bike with either Qatar or Etihad airlines.Anyone had any experience(good or bad)with either of these in regards to bike handling, arriving in one piece etc..Cheers
No, this is a watch ...
This is a real riders watch...
Only $7K.
A short lap of Rydal
Rydal is cool in that you can link segments together in a myriad of different ways to keep it all fresh
This week we did out Jive Turkey, then crossed over to link in Robbies Run. Up Snake tails. Hard right and into Hazard County. Hard left and back along the dump run.
I caught lap on the gopro using a gimbal mounted to chesty

James Estate track.
Hi peoples.
I'm looking at the Jetblack 24hr coming up at the James Estate Winery. I'm just interested in the track...
Is it similar in elevation / tightness / bumpiness to Awaba?
Why - why not?
Cheers.
Chris.
Bike bag QR to Tru Axle conversion
Does anyone have any suggestions for converting a Scicon bikebag with a QR system to fit my MTB with Tru Axle's? I see there is a Thule add on but it's a bit steep at $80.
Thanks
Canberra this weekend
Hi all Canberra people
I am heading down from newy this arvo after work to visit a non-mountain biking mate.
What has the weather been like down there this week? I've always wanted to check out stromlo or sparrow hill, is it worth bringing the bike, given the amount of rain we have had lately?
Maps
Hi,
I'm about to move over to Manly and am wondering what the best maps people are using for Garmin Edge units. I am able to get hold of the Garmin Topo maps for cost but have heard not so great reports on them. (maybe why I can get them cheap)

Bike warranty
Could anyone tell me if professionally painting your bike would void your frame warranty?
I'm talking about painting the bike when new, custom paint job.
Camelbak Palos (bum bag) what are your thoughts?
I've just been reading about Camelbak's new pack.
I'm trying to transition to riding without a backpack but this could be an interesting alternative.
It really is a first world problem

Another use for shimano SPD pedals
I will have to keep this in mind for the next time a ride finishes with a beer and I am stuck without a bottle opener
Video: 2015 The Fail Awakens
It's that time of year again - time to look back at the comical stupidity of my riding over the past 12 months. I hope you enjoy.
NSFW
P.S. It was nice to get through a year without breaking any bones!
Reverb post stuck
Upgraded my dropper post to a 150mm reverb stealth.
First ride today, worked fine until almost at the end, it wouldn't come back up. Even pulling did nothing.
Had a look tonight, and managed to pull it out by hand with a little force, but now it won't go down.
I've tried the following:
Bled the remote
Bled the entire system
Topped up the air
Let all the air out
And generally checked over everything I can think of, still no joy.
The system bled fine, and the remote had a reasonable amount of pressure to it.
Any ideas?
Garmin Segments
Hi All,
I have a Garmin 510, its software is all up to date BUT.....it is no longer recognizing segments that I ride. It used to, but for some reason it has stopped. When I finish a ride where I know I have passed through segments that either I have created or others have it says "no segments were crossed".
Any ideas or help????

Fulcrum Red Power XL wheels
Hard to find information on whether these wheels are tubeless ready or require conversion. Can anyone assist as I have seen differing opinions?
Trail to Kazbegi
Would love to do something like this.
Cheap chinese lights - could this be you?

Bike bags for overseas travel
Anyone have any recommendations for a good, large, travel bag to take a mountain bike overseas?
Even better, Anyone got one to sell or rent at the end of Jan?
Saddles
I broke the saddle on my Scalpel awhile back, and bought a WTB Silverado carbon as a replacement but I can't get on with it. Nice and light but too firm for my soft butt.
The Prologo X8 that broke was very comfortable, but having broken one I'm a bit wary of getting the same again. Spesh are great for road use and I have one on the roadie but a bit wide for mtb riding for me. Anything over 135mm and I bang up my inside thighs too much.
Beast of Seaforth
A friend of mine claims he saw a large black cat (definitely not kitty) last Wednesday morning.
It ran across the fire trail on the Manly dam loop after the Manly Vale school.
I've read some Manly daily articles about similar sightings in Frenchs Forest.
Has anyone else spotted the beast?
Knapsack Downhill
I always like seeing clips of the DH trail at Knapsack and this one shows much of the recent rock work.
Awesome skills
Now if only I could 1/10th of Danny's skills riding some of those narrow logs would be easy
