Great event on the weekend. Recent man flu and little training meant a very long 100km in the saddle, but unlike my performance i couldn't fault the race organisation.

Awesome course, (wasn't a big fan of the new Stairway to Heaven section, but great trail building) the single track just never ended which became less a blessing and more a curse, but every time i struggled a lovely flowing descent would pop up and remind me why I was here. Feed stations were best stocked i've seen and we even got some swag at rego, (socks, water bottle and headset cover) - it was just like races used to be.

I'll definitely be back, and definitely will do some training next year.

Went down for the Half Kowalski. Unfortunately got a throat infection on Friday which severely hampered my performance, to the point that I had to pull out after about 25km. But the track was incredible, the organisation perfect, and everyone who passed me (and there were plenty) was extremely polite. A few even stopped to check if I was ok.
Will definitely be back next year for the event, and before then to ride the trails.

I couldn't ride this year, first one ive missed. In my opinion this the best event on the calendar.
